Illegal Turkish products entering Russian territory are to meet the same end as contraband from countries under Russia's embargo once did. 
Despite reports and announcements made by specialists and mass media regarding anticipated price increases on vegetables and fruits following sanctions against Turkish food products, Russia's head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Alexander Tkachev, is confident that the newest challenge will not lead to a spike in food costs.
Brazil increased its exports of processed fruits and vegetables from January to June to US $35.13 million, an on-year increase in revenue of 36 percent. 
Director of the Institute of Contemporary Economics Nikita Isayev discussed his certainty regarding Tajikistan's ability to increase exports of products that were previously supplied by Turkey during the ninth Tajik-Russian Conference on Regional Cooperation. Isayev considers Russia and Tajikistan to be important partners in the trade industry.
